Doug VanWingerden

Doug, married to Connie (Shugak) is the proud father of five grown children. Doug spent his growing up years in Cantwell before his missionary parents John and Jan VanWingerden moved to Victory High School to work and live with boarding kids. Doug met his wife there who is from Old Harbor. Doug and Connie have eight beautiful grandchildren.

Doug is a genuine Dutch-Greek Alaskan and loves our Lord Jesus Christ. Previous to being appointed as a new ANNLF Board Member Doug actively supported ANNL Fellowship by spending a long Monday in Anchorage at work before attending the weekly meetings held each Monday evening. He loves to play his bass guitar. Doug plays his bass for the Alaska Freedom Band, Alaska's traveling worship team too.
